
ד"ר יהודית ברונשטיין היא מרצה בכירה במחלקה ללימודי ישראל באוניברסיטת חיפה. מחקריה עוסקים בהיסטוריה של המסדרים הצבאיים בימי הביניים, בתנועת מסעי הצלב ובמזרח הלטיני. היא הייתה חוקרת אורחת בפקולטה להיסטוריה ובקולג' סנט קתרין באוניברסיטת קיימברידג'.
בין פרסומיה הספרים The Hospitallers and the Holy Land, Financing the Latin East, 1187–1274 ו-Settlement and Crusade in the 13th Century: Multidisciplinary Studies of the Latin East, שאותו ערכה במשותף עם גיל פישהוף וורדית שוטן־הלל, וכן מאמרים רבים בקבצים ערוכים ובכתבי עת אקדמיים.
מחקרה הנוכחי בוחן את הקשר בין מזון לתרבות בממלכת ירושלים הצלבנית. עבור מחקר זה זכתה במענק מחקר אישי של הקרן הלאומית למדע. תחומי המחקר שלה כוללים גם את האופן שבו מסעי הצלב נתפסים ומיוצגים בתקופה המודרנית.
ההיסטוריה של המסדרים הצבאיים בימי הביניים, ההיסטוריה של התנועה והממלכה הצלבנית, התפיסה המודרנית של הצלבנים, היסטוריה וארכיאולוגיה של מזון.
