אודות
אנה גוטגרץ היא היסטוריונית של ימי הביניים, ומחקרה ממוקם בצומת בין מסעי הצלב והתפשטותה של אירופה הלטינית במהלך ימי הביניים המרכזיים, לבין תהליכי אורבניזציה ושינויים במרחב העירוני ברחבי אגן הים התיכון לאורך ההיסטוריה בכלל ובימי הביניים בפרט. במסגרת תחומי מחקר אלה היא עוסקת גם בהשפעות של שינויי אקלים וסביבה על המרחב העירוני, ביטוייהם של חורבן ושחיקה דמוגרפית בסביבות עירוניות בימי הביניים, ובאופן שבו תפיסת ההיסטוריה והתיקוף ההיסטורי (פריודיזציה) בכל תקופה מושפעים מאירועים כגון אלה. אנה היא שותפה בפרויקט הרגסטה, המאגד בתוכו תקצירים מתורגמים לאנגלית של כלל התעודות הנוגעות למזרח הלטיני בשנים 1098-1291. כמו כן, היא חלק מן המרכז להיסטוריה של הים התיכון (HCMH) ושותפה בפורום חיפה לחקר מסעי הצלב וההתיישבות הפרנקית במזרח הלטיני (HFFE).
